Please excuse the inside of the helmet, I know it looks awful but I'm pretty sure no one else but me will ever see the inside of it.
It looks like hell but it works great! My helmet doesn't fog up anymore and its great to help cool me down (within the 45min I had my full costume on I was sweating) I got the tutorial from costumebot.com but I used cardboard for lifting the fan away from the helmet and used duct tape to hold the wire to the walls. Its surprisingly secure.

At the top right you can see where the battery is. Its secured by sticky velcro and all I have to do is snap on the battery connector. And yes.....my helmet straps are cardboard. I find it way more comfy than elastic straps so kill me for being ghetto >:(
