Just a progress picture of the corset for The Dress That Ate The Stage, trying to motivate myself to actually finish it. I started it years ago when I was working on the rest of The Dress (see other photo), but when the whole project blew up in my face I put it away. Since then I've pulled it out every once in awhile trying to make some headway on it, but the stupid thing still isn't finished. Hopefully soon though. I really want to do photos in September, so I at least have a deadline again.

Some technical stuff - the corset is made with a double layer of denim on the inside for strength, 20 spiral bones, and the material on the outside is satin. I made all my own piping, as well as the pattern. I'm not actually that happy with the way its come out so far, but I don't have the motivation to scrap the whole thing and start again. It took long enough to just get this far. Maybe I'll like it more after I put in all the grommets.
