You can see that I cut the toes off. That's because I started with shoes that were a whole size too big. Cutting off the toes was not a good idea. My toes rubbed at the cut-off edge and I got blisters.

You may also be able to see the tops of the screws inside.

Yea I have the same question as Lyraėl. How did you get into the boot to screw the wood down? It just seems like it wood be difficult to be able to get a drill inside the boot and be able to keep the screw heads flat against the bottom of the boot.

You will have to cut holes in the top of the shoe.

OMG ! It's incredible, how did you put the screws inside ? oO The "toes" are cutted when you did this step ?

I have to wear boots a size larger than my feet. Would the design change at all because of that? Or would you just line up and size the wood blocks based on the dimensions of the ball of the shoe? And then wrap it with the cardboard like you did?

Sorry if that's confusing, let me know if you need clarification.

Larger shoes won't change the functional construction. I size the wood blocks based on how much space I need to balance on; the size of the shoe doesn't matter. But you may have a hard time concealing your toe and making it look right with larger shoes.
