Mannn, finally finishing this thing feels like a MAJOR accomplishment, but the sad truth is that it is pitifully easy and I just suck haha...I made the bodice last year, put it aside and just never came back to it until recently. It is made from black lace, (nonstretch) upholstery velvet underneath the lace, the lines are maroon/purple dupioni and the rest is evening wear. I have her purse too, that is made out of the velvet and a metal handle. I am also making Henry's doll key, the one modeled after the shabby doll :) The wig is partially cut, and I am hoping to wear this one in 2 months or so! The shoes are made completely from scratch (deconstructed a dress shoe down to the heel to use it because it was the only suitable base I could find. I was SO anal about being accurate with this costume since I haven't really seen it attempted on that level before). I have lace for her necklace and 2 metal cuff bracelets, and the belt was a PAIN in the butt to track down, but I eventually (after weeks of interbuttz searching) found the perfect belt. I am adding maroon velvet in for the colored parts on it.
