I don't think these pics were worth separating into 2 individual pages. Hence, the fusion. This pic(s) shows my cosplay at only 50% finished, but it is the only pic I have for this cosplay so far.
This was a rush job done in only 1 week before the SoCal Cosplay Spring Picnic 2010. The shirt and pants are clearance rack snatches. And the boots are also just store-bought black boots. I had great plans to make my own silver boots, but ran out of time. The emblem collar is felt, but I didn't have time to stitch the emblem. The emblem was just slapped on with adhesive velcro. ~.~; I am rather glad with the solution for the collar clasps: pin backings covered with silver polymer clay in the shape of ovals. All the craft foam sheet pieces were connected via brads, eyelets, and some yarn, except for the Foam Can Hugs (gauntlets), which were glued to the hand guards. The shoulder guards originally had a nice height, but without time to create the separate piece to hang my cape from, I had to pin the cape to the shoulder guards. Naturally, the shoulder guards were not intended to carry that cape weight, and quickly began popping at the joints, long before this picture was taken.
Hopefully I'll finish this costume for better photos soon! >~
