Thank you! the base is aspen wood, ive found it to be light and rather sturdy! the handle however is oak, both parts are connected by a quarter inch thick steel rod that runs about 8 inches into the blade and compleately through the handle making the weight a little more evenly dispursed so it feels light! carved the shape out with hand tools and base painted a bright silver. the detailing is finger painted. was a lot of fun and like a five year old i had to show it off to everyone thanks again!
I know I've said it before, but this is seriously the best Raiders sword I've ever seen (and DAT PAINTJOB!). What techniques/materials did you use to make it?
