More Dragon Highlord progress! The left piece is the thigh armour, made from 3/4 oz vegi-tan and tooled with a quilted pattern...which took forever. I still need to do the same process to the shoulder pieces.
The large scales (about 3" tall) are for the torso and the small scales (about 1 1/4" tall) are for the shoulder pieces.
The scales were painted in 5 steps: bright blue base, silvery blue wash to dull it, splotchy texture, highlight on the ridge and a clear topcoat.

Did you ever finished this Dragon Highlord Armor ???
I love your leatherworking - it's beautifully done and it's an inspiration for someone like me who just started.
