The fabric is 100% cotton, but the fibers are woven a little loosely so there is a sheerness. After the fabric dried for a few days and was ran under an iron, I hand painted all of the flowers. I'm pretty sure there are over 200 cherry blossoms, but I lost count after the first few. There is still more painting to be done (golden feathers on the blank spot in the center of the picture), but the flowers are finished. Hurray!
