Horribly awkward con pose GOGOGO

Horribly awkward con pose GOGOGO - Code Geass R2 - Kallen Kozuki
Okay so I definitely learned my lesson about bunny girl suits...as stupid/whatever as they seem, they certainly attract a lot of rude comments from the p-nut gallery and are just generally very uncomfortable to be in public in.

This picture is edited as the original was very unflattering; I was slouching like a mofo (out of awkward discomfort) for every picture taken in this costume and it completely flattened out the Kallen chest that I tried so hard to emulate. I was going for accuracy but didn't bother to stand up straight, go figure :( Also I forgot to sew on my little red side bows, but I do have them!

Anyway, I found 2 shots of this, but I will probably get my boyfriend to take some more pictures of it because I actually put in a lot of effort and $$$ into it ;__; I'm pretty proud that I was able to draft my own pattern for this one...it fits kinda wonky in places, but considering how bad I am at sewing I'd say I at least learned a thing or two with this costume!
Too bad assholes think its cool to be douchey in public to random strangers :|

I know how you feel about wearing a bunny suit to a con and getting rude comments from douche-y people...when I went to Anime USA in 2009, I actually had to walk from a parking garage a couple blocks away from the convention site, and everyone OUTSIDE the convention was extremely kind despite my lack of clothing. It was only until I got into the con that I started to get a lot of really offensive comments. One guy actually tried to get a picture of my ass with his cellphone while I was looking at an artbook in the dealer's room. A really sweet security guard came up behind this pervert, tapped him on the shoulder, MADE HIM DELETE THE PICTURE, and had him escorted out.

So, for all of the gross jerks there are in this world, there are some genuinely nice people still out there.
BTW, you look fabulous in your bunny suit Work it girl!

What an awesome security guard! I love when con staff are BAMFs like that, feels quite awesome. I too have been caught in the open in cosplay and not once did those people ever say rude things...they were more curious than anything else!

Thanks for the complement ^^ I LOVE you as Haurko, you have the best face and figure for her and your craftsmanship is top notch. I wish my suit was sewn as beautifully as yours :3!

Ah, so this is your Kallen bunny suit cosplay that you mentioned.

It's such a great cosplay! I must say, you look a lot like her! And the suit looks really good, I can't imagine drafting a pattern for one of those things. I'm sorry you received rude comments, that's totally unnecessary.

B-but it makes me happy you like Code Geass, I've been meaning to cosplay Suzaku for awhile now (And my Walter as Lelouch) huhuhu~

Thank you!!! I just wish I had some better pics of it lol, I failed at posing and now I gotta squeeze into it again (aka not eat for like 3 days...ghreghiuhg ffffff). I made it too small (since I suck with the whole sewing thing and all) so the seams are like busting and everything. Anyway, I'm glad you like it (I had no idea you were a big Geass fan!!!!)

OMGOMGOMG, DO EET!!!! Seeing as how well you did Henry, I'd be on cloud nine if you did Suzaku, I haven't really seen any good ones yet so it would be a nice change to have a kickass one!!! And same to your Walter, ahh CodeGeass loveeeee :3!

I have been waiting to see your bunnygirl Kallen and you didn't disappoint! I love it! the suit looks really good on you and it is impressively drafted. It totally sucks that you got harassed by stupid con people but don't let it get you down! You did a good job! =)

Well done. I'm sure you'll get better photos. Don't let the turkeys get you down. You should be proud that you can make the costume, and make it look good. And congrats on drafting your own pattern. A lot of people won't dare to try. As we see here, it can lead to great results.

Yea, rude comments can ruin the con. I was Master Roshi and my daughter was Yuna. Talk about awkward moments, how 'bout when someone wants you to grab the "pretty girl" and she's your daughter! And that happened way to often.
By the way your costume looks great, you did a excellent job of fitting it. Sorry about the jerks and their rudeness.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear people are SO ridiculous...it is almost as if they think because you're at a con you're fair game for inappropriate BS...I wish people had more self control than they do, I mean for god's sake she is related to you, and neither of you should have to put up with some people's stupidity

Great Kallen! Don't let rude punks get you down. You worked too hard for that.

Efecss posted on 09-09-2010 at 05:35 PM:

And impressive effort and you look great.

And on behalf of the older convention goers, I am sorry that you had an overabundance of rude people at the con. Something like that shouldn't happen.

You look great! But bunny suits attract a lot of dick attention. Men at a strip club are actually more respectful than people at a con. Also, in leggy costumes, it works really well to practices poses that work well for your legs in a mirror. And always stick your tits out!

Sanda replied on 09-09-2010 at 03:49 PM:

Thank you! I completely agree with you about the strip club comment...I really had no idea people think it is cool to just say whatever to a stranger in a public place lol...some people have no decency whatsoever I guess.
AND YES!!! I felt so stupid in retrospect; I never practiced poses, so when people asked for pictures I had no idea what to do, or what would look dumb, or what may make me have a wardrobe malfunction etc...I basically did it all wrong I've since thought of better ideas when I actually get nice pictures of this costume somewhere more private than a damn convention... someone suggested to do some funny moe Kallen poses to play up the ridiculousness of Kallen in a bunny suit (which I really liked) x3
