The Aforementioned Nazis

The Aforementioned Nazis - ...uh... World War II? - nazis
Slow down there, Quickdraw McGraw! I'm not in this picture! Nor am I a nazi. Got it? Good.

I can also vouch for the non-nazi-ness of the caucasian chap in this photo. He's a sweetheart and just really digs military history.

That said, this is the group of WWII military cosplayers who I've mentioned in the thread on the General Cosplay board. Notice the guy on the far right, who will feature in my nightmares for months to come.

I think they could have chosen something more tasteful but as long as no one was spewing antisemitism shit I don't see too much wrong with it.

And, if I do say so myself, the guy on the far left is kinda hot XD

Hey a picture of me! For the record no one in this picture endorses nor sympathizes with the Nazi party. I'm a registered amateur historian with the American Historical Association.
From left to right (simplified descriptions):
Manga-like Pre-war Political SS Lieutenant,
Very accurate German Army General,
Very accurate Pre-war SS Body Guard,
Me as 1944-45 German Civil Small-town Policeman,
Hollywood-like Pre-war Political SS General (which is probably why Kira sees him in her nightmares). Love his caption lol.

These are very well made costumes and Nazi issuesaside they are historical costume and at least they had the balls to do contraversial costumes from history! Kudos to them and you for taking the shot!

The Uniforms are indeed great~ (the Nazi subject ,however, is something else). I agree with Kildread I would of done the same thing and take a picture of the group.

I agree on the looks part, those uniforms are hella good. (The meaning of the symbols aside).

I would totally have taken a picture too!

Controversy over Nazis aside, these guys did an amazing job on their costumes. I would be curious to know why they chose to do nazi cosplay- historical re-enactment or characters from one of the countless movies/comics/videogames/etc that feature them?

I think it's all authentic memorabilia. These guys come every year as a different military unit and they're always decked out in the real medals, badges, etc.

Comiket is where all kinds of nerds gather and these fellows just happen to be the hardcore military nerds.

The guy (2nd left) isn't wearing a unifrom of the SS, but in fact an officer's Uniform of the Luftwaffe.

Good to see both non-nazi officer uniforms representing the group.
