You didn't tell me you'd gotten so far on your Axel wig! *0* It looks ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I am SO jealous of your awesome skills right now. The spike tips are so clean and they're all pointing the right way, and DANGIT you'd better finish that lace front so I can have a complete flail-fit over the awesomeness that is this wig! ^___________^

This wig is absolutely amazing! Did you spike it yourself? Cause that is one of the best spiking jobs on an Axel wig I have EVER seen. Major kudos to you It's always so hard to spike his wig cause...well it's so god damn spikey XD

I'm really impressed--this wig looks like it was made by an expert ^_^ One of the best Axel wigs I've seen. The spikes are neatly pointed--there doesn't seem to be a hair out of place!
Out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'ventilate' the front?

Charubi replied on 03-05-2011 at 10:45 PM: Thank you! When I say "ventilate", I mean that I plan to make a lace front for this wig so the widow's peak Axel has will look as realistic as possible. It's going to involve hand-tying a ton of individual hairs into some wig lace and then attaching that to the front, but I think it'll be worth it. 8D

All I have to say, is this is probably one of the best Axel wigs I have ever seen. Major kudos!!!!

wow, that looks very cool. I'm surprised this is your first wig. did you also do the dyeing to make it go from dark at the roots to bright at the end?

If you don't mind me asking, what is your wig resting on? I see there's white pole, looks like some kind of DIY setup?

Actually, I bought it that way. ^_^; It's a 1BtR from Amphigory (though Coscom's store sells the same color) so it's roots are black and the tips are red, though there seem to be a lot of plain black and red hairs mixed in. I don't mind at all! ^_^ It's resting on my dismantled pedestal fan, actually. I just unscrewed the fan portion and voila, perfect wig head stand.
