CHRYSSALID TERROR MISSION - STUN RODS ONLY

OH HELL NAW. I'M TAKING A SQUAD WITH HEAVY LASERS AND AC-IN FOR THAT.

(Protip: See a zombie in a Snakeman terror mission? Kill it with fire - it keeps the Chryssalid eggs inside from hatching!)

Heavy Lasers? Pfffft Heavy Plasma ftw! Some men just want to watch the world burn. I particularly like running around with auto-cannons armed with high explosive ammo

Ehh, I'm not wasting the ammo for my lovely Plasma weapons on what's relatively soft targets.

Which, believe it or not, Snakemen and Chryssalids are. (Hell, if you're lucky, you can pop those guys with the standard-issue assault rifle - but no matter what your loadout, you should always have a few people with AC-IN for a Snakeman terror mission. I honestly wasn't joking about killing the zombies with fire to keep the Chryssalid eggs from hatching.)

I tend to amass plasma rifle ammo at ungodly speeds from missions, though laser rifles are always a must-have for the team too... interesting to know about the fire/Chryssalid eggs thing.

Oh man, the standard-issue rifle and Chryssalids is not fun. I know this due to going on an early terror mission with a bunch of rookies who couldn't shoot in a straight line that ended horrifically. I'm talking a one-turn ambush by 4 Chryssalids (!!!) ending in many zombified rookies, barely off the ramp of the Skyranger. Welcome to X-COM!

With the playthroughs I've done, I've found that it's the Heavy Plasmas and their ammo that drops like candy from a pinata - at least, in the later missions.

And if you think a Turn One Chryssalid ambush is no fun, I've got one that'll top that: TURN ONE STUN BOMB AMBUSH.

I kid you not - early terror mission, the first soldier takes one step down the Skyranger's ramp, and it triggers reaction fire from an alien just out of sight. Stun bomb flew into the Skyranger, detonated, EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER WAS KNOCKED OUT.

Cue rageface and "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-!"

Well, it's pretty much done - I just need to get a couple last items together, and I'll be ready to hunt down some Eeks come I-Con
