Seattle Chinatown Parade 2010
Every year Sakura Con participates in the Chinatown Parade. It's part of Seafair, the month-long regional festival that includes everything from hydroplane races, to the Blue Angels, to cultural events such as the Bon Odori festival held in the International District. If you're ever in Seattle from July to August, check it out, it's really awesome.
I've been a part of the parade for the past 3 years, and it's a lot of fun. It's also invariably super hot (2010 had to be in the upper eighties) so one may ask why I decided to wear the most layered costume in my collection. Because it's awesome, and the whole point is to advertise for the convention. My fiance claims I should've worn a skirt like him. ^_^
