The first shot from a short shoot Ammie and I did with Stillvisions at Youmacon 2010 in the same area as a Sailor Moon shoot. It's cool how a great photographer can take the same location and make it work for two completely different Cosplay shoots.
Ammie is wearing her absolutely amazing American McGee's Alice costume. She was kind enough to wear a horror game costume to match with me (I'm dressed as Sam from the horror movie Trick 'r Treat) and she helped navigate me around the con since my vision was very limited in my costume. Ammie is such a great friend. I can't thank her enough for all of her help! :3
The pajamas of my costume are complete and turned out really nicely. My mask and gloves, however, need some work. It's pretty obvious that my mask is not the nice rounded shape that Sam's is in the film. I plan to re-make the mask in the fall for a photoshoot around Halloween. Hopefully I'll get the right shape this time!

I think it's really cool that Sam had an Alice guardian lol. But I do need to make Laurie's red riding hood costume to go around with you, it would suit the setting much better ^_^ This pic though...awesome! I had a blast with this shoot And I love your Sam costume to bits!

I can't wait for you to make Laurie. We need to do a shoot in the woods or something next fall. I think it'll be amazing!

Thanks very much! That was in fact Youmacon last year. As much as I would love to bring Sam again, I think I have too many other costume plans to bring it this year. I am working right now to fix it up and re-do the mask for a Halloween photoshoot so at least I'll have photos in the coming months of an improved version of the costume. :3
