Master Sword Details

Master Sword Details - The Legend of Zelda, Skyward Sword - Link
Skyward Sword Link's Master Sword~

Here's a close up view of the details at the hilt. Entire pattern was done with the help of several reference pictures.

It was tricky trying to get the cardboard to bent in certain spots, but since it was done in 2 days straight, I can't really complain. Some of the small details are actually engraved in the cardboard using a pencil and applying pressure. Other glyphs will be painted on directly to save time.

Very happy with the end result~

This is positively gorgeous, and the fact that it's made out of cardboard makes me love it all the more!

Do you have a pattern I could use to do the handle? it looks tricky D=

Haha, not at all. Everything was done free-hand~

Reference pictures are your best friend, just keep trimming pieces until they fit properly. There might be a lot easier ways to finish it, or tutorials from others on the forum. You might be able to find a pattern there.
