I've received a number of inquires about my horns, particularly on how they're affixed. In this case, I thought a photo would serve far better than an explanation (but I'll provide both). The horns, having been constructed from solid pieces of model magic were drilled into and wired to the headband. The front of the headband is a piece of needlepoint canvas mesh, with a wide elastic band sewn in the back to give it some stretch. Felt lines the inside to cover the wires (and provide a better fit). The head wrap (not pictured) covers most of the mesh and elastic when applied properly. However, some of the plastic mesh around the horns is slightly visible. To address this, I made custom hair pieces (based on Katie Blair's "no-sew wefts") and fitted them around the horns. Here's an alternate view: http://bit.ly/iDLaPv
(By the way, The horns are aligned; they don't appear parallel in these photos because the plastic mesh has a tendency to fold in while not being worn.)
Whew! I'm pretty terrible at explanations. If you have any questions, please feel welcome to ask, I'll do my best to answer them.
