I think this photo has a lot of great qualities that some may be overlooking, so I'm going to go all art student and point out what I love about this in detail! There's some great work being done with the depth of field - some of the items in the foreground aren't in focus, but the macarons remain the centre of focus. Each of them being a different colour is aesthetically pleasing. As for you, the cosplayer, the pose is excellent; the slight head tilt and the downward angle of your face create a very thoughtful look. This combined with the raised hand gingerly holding the macaron gives a very calm feeling to the photo. The bright purple ribbon adds a strong pop of colour to an area of more muted colours (around your wig), which pulls together all the more colourful parts of the photo into one beautiful, coherent composition. It doesn't matter that the costume isn't the focus of the photo, or that the photo seems simplistic; there's so much more to the photo than that, and it is, in fact, a beautiful photo. : )
I love how you look so carefree playing with the cookies and the color you incorporated with the treats look great. you look really cute.
Donīt want to be rude, but I just donīt see anything special in this photo... For the showcase one, itīs pretty ordinary. Sorry.

I agree. I've seen tons of better pictures that haven't recieved showcases.
Liechtenstein-chan!!! Sooo adorable~~
I love the macarons xDD
Such a clear crisp photo, I love how the background and closest objects are blurred so your eyes really focuse on the subject. Everything looks flawless!
I've always wondered what those colorful cookies taste like...
