Ok thanks, i've bought another wig, I did sign up to divian art a while ago, I wonder fi my password still works. Someone else told me they added hair to the wig, but as there are not youtube videos and very little help on this it is very hard. I guess maybe then I would take sections of hair from the second wig that are a lot longer. Cut the whole of the fringe off the first wig and add the long sections sew them on, then style then for the side parting?
Oh my, I really tear my own hair out when it comes to wigs, I never look forward to styling them, I always buy the better quality synthetic wigs, but they are always so smooth and silky, You've hidden those hair grips well, as I can't see even a little bit of one, well done.
I'll try the DA thing, I do video tutorials for all my costume work now, becuase it makes me feel good to help someone, but as for wigs I do try and put them on video as well.

I didn't cut the fringe off the second wig.. I started from the bottom (the nape of the neck) and worked upwards.. or what I also do is cut the right length weft I need from the middle of the spare wig and do it that way.
So you know how to add hair to a wig, can you please give some info or post photos, I am despartley trying to create a big poof like yours, but my wig only just has enough on the fringe to brign around and can't get the little poof I've made to stay up high, it keeps flopping down. I've tried hair spray, but didn't do a lot. do you have any tutorial videos on youtube at all?

Hey, All I did to thicken the wig was cut the wig up into separate wefts and then by hand sew the wefts in between each weft of the wig im using to wear. There are tutorials on DeviantArt and I'm sure there will be some on youtube but I don't have any that I've personally used as I used one on DeviantArt. My DA name is the same as this, so if you find me on there in my favourites should be the tutorial I used. To get the swoop to stay up, I teased the hair up and then brought it over and sprayed the hell out of it. I also used a bobby pin to keep the bangs in place so they don't drop down. Thats the only way to really do it for Ariel and other character with similar swoopy bangs. Its all about patience too. I wish you the best of luck!

I bought the wig from wigfever on ebay, then used my old wig to thicken it with extra wefts and then styled it myself. ^__^
