Momo Wig Progress

Momo Wig Progress - Breath of Fire 3 - Momo
Progress picture of my wig for Momo from Breath of Fire 3. The wig was made using 3 base wigs and quilt batting. It took about 5 days to make and weighs close to 15 lbs. This was the first time I ever tackled something like this - the most I'd ever done before was curl a wig or adjust the bangs. Never hacked and frankensteined one before this so I am extremely please with how it came out. The sad part is because of the batting, it can only really hang in the back, and therefore, isn't seen in most pictures.

Lol, it basically involves taking strips of batting and rolling it into a tube. The width would depend on how thick the braids need to be but the thicker the heavier and also, the more hair you would need to cover the tube. Then you would sew or in my case, I glued the tubes to the base of the wig. >_<.

Holy cow! Sounds like it could get quite heavy - especially with those braids! Thanks for the tip!

How exactly do you use the quilt batting in the wig? I've heard of it being done before - but I don't quite understand how it works...
