I made this petticoat for my Lili ballgown by gathering and attaching about 18 yards of netting to a muslin slip. The netting is attached in 6 tiers and the petticoat measures nearly a yard wide at the base. It’s so stiff it stands by itself! The light blue brocade that I draped over it in the picture is the material that I’m going to be using for the gown’s bodice and overskirt.
