Ah! So I took two sheets of craft foam and taped them together. The more complicated part is getting it fitted right. I started the foam at my toes and put the other end just under my knee. I wrapped the sides around my leg and taped another foam sheet that ran from the back of my leg to the bottom of my heel to it. Ending up with an off center cone. I then did the slow part of trimming of bits of the craft foam at the toe and front of the knee, so it would not buckle when I walked. I just trimmed off a bit took a couple of steps to test and then trimmed some more. Being ocd I thing taped the up were the two foamies came together until it was seamless (I used the thickest (3mm) foam). After wearing it to the con I would say making it double layer would be a good idea. For the outside I just took the same material as my costume and made a case and just slipped it on. The final key piece is a strip of craft foam (or something else) on the bottom from the sides to hook your shoe into so that the pods don't ride up while you walk. I found that low heals work much better under the pods than flat shoes (because your foot is shorter and doesn't flex as much, blah, blah). I hope this helps, if need I can send you a diagram sketch of what I'm taking about.

thanks very much! I am making a ponyta cosplay and kind of need to do something about my feet, even though next year i will be using some of the same pieces for my rapidash cosplay. i was thinking a more lolita style but I think these boots might work out for me.

You're welcome! And that's cool! Yes I've seen many pod feet made out of just fabric but conceptually I definitely prefer the solid pod feet. Good luck with your ponyta cosplay! P.S. Ponyta and Rapidash were my favorite pokemon when I was little girl.

Thank you! and yes Rapidash is my favorite pokemon ever, but I am going to wait another year until I can a more mature face. and yes that is true. thanks for the information once again!

Mature-Splure! No need! In fact my original designs called for me to look a like 13 year old manga-style stick! I forgot to buy ace bandages thou... haha.

hahaha I think I am going to need a harness for my chest. I also want to make sure I have everything ready, I am revealing it in late April and need it ready before then. I thought I might as well do a ponyta cosplay, to at least have another cosplay in my bag. I might sell my stuff later too, but I don't know.

Oh I know what you mean. Having only one cosplay in the bag totally sucks. Been there. But still rushing to do both is good either. It's better to concentrate on the one that really matters to you first and then worry about the next one.

true, I have paced myself out well though, so I think I have everything under control, the outfit is half done right now anyways, I just have all my accessories to worry about. :3

Make lists, make many lists. I always manage to forget something, especially when I go shopping for materials.

hahaha, I carry a book with me that details everything that I need for the costume, I will even draw each and every part out, and the completed outfit, I also include colour samples and over such things, (where I am going to get something, when do I need it by, how much time will it take me to finish it). I am pretty organized and really think out all of my cosplays, I make sure that I have 5 good references and always question myself at times to see if I can take something away or put something in. Like for my victini cosplay last year I thought to myself: "I need something to carry my stuff around, but what would match victinis character?" so I thought to myself: a pokeball. so I made a pokeball bag that slung over my shoulder. It worked quite well, and I think that if I have about a week left before the con that I will make a bigger one, as I was thinking of selling mine.

That's excellent! Sounds like you're more organized than me!
