Mami Tomoe (Puella Magi) wig
Another weird corkscrew girl - but compared to my Catherine wigs, I used an even thinner superstructure this time, and I tried to wrap it as straight as possible, to make the curls look more like ribbons made of hair.
I didn't stub the wig completely, but used the top layers to better blend in the ponytails.
This wig was made for a large head, so there is a lot of extra fiber in it that was really difficult to hide, since her ponytails are so slim.
The yellow-blonde custom color is the same that I used for my new Rikku wig:
1 mid-length wig, extensions x5 (613 - light blonde), wig dye (yellow); wire, clear plastic

It looks good, but the pigtails seem to be set up a little high. Her's are set at the bottom of her chin while these look like they'd be right around her ears. Otherwise, it looks great

Thanks for your input! Actually, the pigtails aren't particularly high (compared to my Sailor Moon wigs, for example), but the wig was made for a large, long head, so the proportions may look a little off on the mannequin.
I chose this position for the curls so they'd sit right next to the face, and would be visible from the front (unlike Polka's from Eternal Sonata, for example, who does have low corkscrew pigtails that start at the nape of the neck.)

(Oh, and if you look at the reference, her pigtails do start at the ears:
Except she's a cute anime girl, so her chin sits right below her ears, too... lol.)
