hehehe, I had to post this. My high-tech sharpie-opening method!!

I needed just two tools: A small swiss army knife, and my shoes.

I stood on one end of the sharpie (with the cap on) and put the other end on the top of my other shoe (So that it was angled down between my shoes, with the writing-point on the floor). Then I just pressed down on the capped end with my shoe, putting stress on it back and forth. And then, when I picked it up, I could just easily pull the colored end off. Net time? Twenty seconds for one, about fourty for another, it was tighter. But easy easy. It doesn't explode or drip or anything, though I did have plastic on the floor just in case. I didn't get any ink on me.
Technically I could put the sharpie all back together and it'd work fine!

The knife was used after this picture was taken to slit the sponge plastic bit so that it would bleed better into the bottle of alcohol.
