I bought these awesome shoes at Target one day while working (because they were awesome and I had to snatch them up before someone else did) and wanted to wear them for Easter but didn't have anything that matched them. So that same day I went fabric shopping after work. I happened upon that plaid dupioni silk that matched the heel of the shoe perfectly, and it was on clearance for 60% off, so I bought it and made me a dress to wear. The brooch is actually one I gave my mom that I'm going to borrow and the belt is from a pair of pants that I have, but it works with the dress since I couldn't find any that I liked in stores.

This is simply amazing for a original. Did you make the belt also?

You ROCK! That dress looks fabulous. I especially like the neckline. Any chance you might do a shoot in it?

I might do something some time in the future. I plan to wear that dress as much as possible because I loved how it turned out. I might wear a wig with it when I do pictures (even though the blue in my hair has faded to perfectly match the dress at the moment). Maybe my 40s fingerwave Veronica Lake wig...that might be cool to wear with it.

I did! Since my family is Catholic, we attend church regularly. And of course Easter Sunday is a big deal, and my dad and I were serving on the altar that day, so I wanted something special to wear^^
