A Little Eve goes a long way

A Little Eve goes a long way - BioShock - Splicer
Chibik3ro suggested we do a Splicer group for Anime North this year and me being a big horror video game fan, I jumped at the idea. My dress was purchased second-hand, but I tried to get a dress that reminded me of Baby Jane although I didn't follow an in-game model to the letter. I'm glad that I went with this dress though! I love the colour!

My mask was based on artwork from the game. I really liked the art design for the cat mask in black and I thought that would be a nice contrast with my dress instead of making it in white. My friend Adrien's housemate gave me a plastic mask she had used for a Splicer mask one Halloween and I stripped it of paint and added the gold details with gold leaf and clay mache. I love how the mask turned out and I really appreciate Adrien helping me out with it!

In this photo you can't really see the rips in my dress. After con I added more rips and red paint for blood. I also adjusted the mask as it was sitting a little high on my face.

My blood and bruise makeup was really rushed for the group so next time I wear this I'm looking forward to doing a better job with it. I'm still pretty happy with how everything came together for our shoots at con and yet again Elemental never ceases to amaze me with how wonderfully she shoots horror Cosplay! I love the lighting and the grunge of this photo! It's always a treat to work with her! This was a really exciting group to be a part of! I rarely get to Cosplay with so many of my friends so I loved the experience!
