Harvest Moon: Reina's Beads~
Here's some work in progress, a close up of the type of beads I'm using, and the backing.
There's two ways to go about threading each bead, you could use a continuous thread, looping each bead twice to secure it, and repeating. Or you could tie them individually (which is much slower, but a good option if the beads are too far apart). Since there's no real pattern on mine, and the beads range from half an inch, to a full inch apart, I tied each separately. Otherwise I would have weaving thread going all over the place in the backing... :/
I used standard glass beads, they're rounded, so I wasn't too worried about them catching on fabric or breaking the thread. If you're concerned about sharp edges, like those long cylinder beads, you can use that clear beading thread, or even fishing line, honestly. XD
It's all pretty straight forward, tie a knot at the end of your thread, and start from back of your garment to front. Once the thread is in the front, place your beads and push them til they're laying flat against the fabric, then stitch as close as possible to the last bead (if multiple). Once under again, bring it back up to go a second time through your last bead, this will secure the line. Add more beads, and continue doing the same over and over again until your pattern is complete~!
