Fire resonated with Korra, both were so full of passion and ferocity, but she was of the Water Tribes, and waterbending could be just as powerful as fire. Even now, far from her frozen home, she made sure to practice the traditional forms.
... Yeah, fine, not my most exciting flavor text, but I'm full of con plague and cold medicines. ^_^
This picture is technically not the best. It was part of a test series my photographer and I did while waiting on the outskirts of an Avatar/Korra gathering at Otakon (it was too hot to be out there long, so we decided to multitask while they did groups that I didn't belong to). We moved to a slightly shadier location just after this. HOWEVER, I really like the angle and my pose. Just before this, an adult Aang cosplayer came by and showed me the actual Tai Chi form they used for the water whip. He was actually pretty amazing in general, really nice guy and great costume, but also had ten years of martial arts experience (much of it Ba Gua specifically). It was a treat to watch him pose, and I'm so thankful for his help here. Also, I really really like my arm band lacings in this shot. ^_^
I do not like how my blue loin-cloth-thing in front had crumpled up without telling me (clothes do that, right? Tell you when they go wrong?), or how I forgot that my badge was hanging out, but those were fixed for later.
