Thank you, I was originaly going to go for a full Navy Blue lace bodice if I could find one, but I had a lucky find with the velvet and matching colour lace I thought would just be nice as a trim. I piped along the bottom in the end by hand, as said on my youtube tutorial video, never try and sew piping through 3 very very thick layers on the machine, the needle doesn't like it. I thoguht I could do it on machine, but in the end had to go through the pain of sewing the piping by hand. If the fabrics weren't so thick as velvet is, the machine would of handled it fine. Still at least I can say that part was by hand only. With my costumes, I don't like to do just basic plain stuff, I like to keep in tune witht he character but also had some realism to it, imagining how woman would decortae a real life dress as well. A cartoon can only keep things simple, the bottom of this skirt as well has lace, whihc is nice touch without spoiling it.
