When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change...
Legend of Korra Episode 12, Book 1
This was taken during deep twilight, so I had to do what I could to brighten it up, but there was only so much without also causing the graininess to increase. I also covered the face of the person in the background because I don't know if they'd care about being in random photos on the internet, but I had no way to be sure.
That Aang was, by the way, possibly actually Aang. He was incredibly nice, he was going around and showing us bending-related cosplayers real moves in the appropriate styles (see my Water Whip picture), and he had six years experience of Ba Gua, which is better known among these parts as Airbending. I have a two minute video of him going through forms, and it is gorgeous (course, I'm classically ballet trained, and watching beautiful movement is a thing that I can get obsessed over). After chatting with him for awhile on the sidelines of this particular shoot, I asked if he would do this scene with me. I know that I should have a parka for this, and also should be in the South Pole, but Aang and Korra are the important parts, anyway. ^_^ We moved a bit away from the Avatar gathering for this, since I'm far too shy to suggest a 1-whatever-character-I'm-cosplaying shot, but then we started seeing flashes from cameras other than the one we expected. Since we both had our eyes closed, we just hung out for a bit.
So, thank you, Aang! This is one of my favorite shots of the entire convention.
