Inserts fitted and glued in with E6000.
Turned out to be a bit too small and for peace-of mind I added "Flanges" of skin colored Craft Foam on the outter edges. From a few steps away it is completely unnoticable and invisible in all the photos I've seen.
I'd highly suggest doing this if you have even the slightest 'peeking' worries.
