Still unsure if people are interested in seeing the costume's progress, or just the props & items? I might skip stages, if it's too boring for people, and stay with the finalized version. D:
What is this goofy looking thing, you might ask? Well this is my annoyance towards a certain hat, that defies gravity, practicality (both in pattern & shape) and lack of finding any tutorials I like online. I've made two hats prior, and neither really made me happy on the outcome. To solve this, I made a base out of upholstery foam to get the shape I wanted, fabric will be cut to form it, and light stuffing added afterwards so it can still sway. It's an extra step in construction, but I wasn't sure how to go about it otherwise. The bulk was never right in the triangle pattern.
The headband area will be extended beyond the foam, and other modifications as needed. The foam is slightly raised from my back, to accommodate a certain sword & shield~ Mwaha.
