I finally finished hand stitching the bias tape around the bodice a while back, and was then able to hammer in the grommets. After that, for the first time, I was able to try on my Pinkie Pie bodice, after months of work on it.

By Celestia, it actually fits. I breathed a slightly stifled sigh of relief, as I was laced into a pretty decently made corset-like garment at the time. Anyway.

This is the photo of everything I have currently put together -I will likely be adding another layer of skirt tonight, a white velour skirt, edged in blue bias tape to match the bodice.

So... all told, I'm almost there!
