The base boots were $9 from WalMart. I love clearance items so much. Painted them with Liquitex Soft Body paint. I also love this paint. By the time I finished putting a coat of paint on the second shoe, the paint on the first was dry enough for another coating.

My only real disappointment: the base boots were faux suede and had this weird texture that I didn't see until I painted parts pink. The heel and sole are nice and smooth, but the toe is lumpy and it looks like it's just paint mess, not the boot itself. :(
