Hello Psychic! Thank you for your kind comment! ^^
I completely agree that there aren't enough Wes cosplayers, haha! I have looked around a lot and found next to me only 2 other people cosplaying him. I think it's mainly because the costume and make-up is quite hard to do...and of course the game is quite "old" already.
Hmm, very interesting you start about the costume being leather, I never envisioned it that way! But maybe that's also because I started with the shoes for this costume first, which are very big, black army boots with spikes: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3361298/
About the snag machine...yes, it should have been a bit bigger, probably. But it's already very annoying to walk around with, so for the eh...comfort, I think this is the better choice! xD I hope I can upload a picture soon in which you can see the Snag Machine a bit better, I am currently waiting for pictures from a few photographers from my most recent con!
The goggles were made by a friend, she used foam and then spraypainted it silver. Quite simple actually!
And I'm really happy you started about the make-up job, since I have put so much makeup tests and time in it! xD I made the straight line for this make-up version by using a flat end brush, they look like this: http://www.sweetscents.com/brushes/c211%20takalon%20camoflage%203%208%20inch%20flat%20end.png They can be easily found in dollar stores.
Before that I used a normal paint brush, wich also works quite well if you have a steady hand, but it's way harder and takes more time.

Be sure to let the paint dry very well and make a few layers of white on top of each other, because otherwise you will see your skin colour coming from underneath it!
