I am wiring up my LEDs to a 3-way rocker switch, so I can switch on Red or Blue LEDs, expressing my state of being.
I built the LEDs to direct light to the side of the LED tray, not directly out of it. I did this to flood the chamber with light. The light will shine through the top when reflected back which I then use a diffuser glass to scatter the light to look like one solid piece.
If you look closely, you can see the individual LEDs lit up to the left side, but from the top it looks like a solid piece. Really easy to accomplish this, and quite cheaply too.
Although the pictures show them looking white, they're actually just very strong BLUE and RED, but not too bright as to look washed out.

I have got to learn more about this. This is amazing. I have much to learn!

It would probably have been easier to just buy an LED strip and encased it, but I enjoy doing it the hard way and acquiring the experience that goes along with it. Plus making it myself is just much more satisfying.

This makes such a nice touch to the overall armor! I'll be taking notes from you as I build mine this year - Great work, keep it up!
