Sorry guys, schedule has been all messed up lately, and my computer decided to die briefly along with all my reference pictures. It was apparently angry at me, and thought instantly turning off would be a good idea, except it wouldn't turn back on for a while. We resolved our differences, and now it's happy again. Geez, I wish I was good with technology some days. :/
Alright! So what has happened lately? Well not much unfortunately, no reference pictures made it hard to guess that the red designs were supposed to be, or how to weather my props, so I just put the costume aside a little disheartened. Our main Wii system kicked the bucket, so my main Zelda saved file was also useless. Things aren't looking so bright to get it done on time for the con next week, but I do want to keep working on it, and maybe take it a little more slowly.
As you probably already noticed, the texture is rough from the paper mache. I figured I wouldn't have time for too many layers, and sanding it down smooth. Realizing this, I actually cut all my papers into squares rather than long strips while doing the paper mache. This makes it look like old stone, and squares are used several times in the aesthetic for the Twilight Realm, so I tried to use visual similarities as a secondary plan. It's a really weird texture, that's not as visible when using flash in photos.
I'm going to eat more pizza now, and watch more Ninja Turtles. Painting is a tiring thing...

Thanks! I'm happy people seem to like it, I was really worried about the stone texture, but it's growing on me~
