I've been working on a bit of stuff (sewing and otherwise), but here's some of the progress I have on the cosplay side of things.
On the left is Syrenne's artbook dress from Last Story. It's made out of stretch satin, black bias tape, and black double-faced satin ribbon. The choker is a fabric rose glued onto a strip of bias tape and the earrings are made out of faux pearl beads, a feather with a painted on gradient, and a pair of faux rhinestone post earrings. All that's left on this is styling the wig and finishing the bikini top she always has on. lol
On the right, we have the leather vest armor set from FFXI Online. The cape-let is made out of twill with dull satin lining and binding. The arm warmers are spandex while the gloves are fake leather ones that I purchased. The bodice is kona cotton with a cotton sateen center piece. The boots and belt are vinyl except for the upper leg pieces (which are suede) and the back of the knees (which is a ponteroma knit). The armor pieces were all made from craft-foam wrapped in vinyl with rivets and grommets added here and there. It's my first time really making armor, so over all I'm pretty happy with it. I do still need to add the armor pieces to the fingers and to possibly add weathering to the boots since they look a little flat for my taste.
