More Attack on Titan progress! (And bonus seller reviews!) This got a little long. Ahhh, sorry.
Usual disclaimers: nothing ironed, no wig, no make-up, crappy selfies, blah blah blah.
Iím almost done with this costume. Just need to finish some parts of the harness system and make the skirt. Everything else is purchased because Maximilian is taking up all my time.
Boots: Purchased from CoolConcepts on eBay. Affordable, fit well, and pretty accurate. I went a size up because theyíre from China and I wanted to make sure they fit my fat calves. Very comfy and cute as hell.
Pants: Forever 21, yo.
Jacket/cape: From RedstarCosplay on Etsy. They offer both stock and custom sizing. Stock measurements are listed, and since I bought stock, I can attest the sizes are accurate. The fit is great. I was also enticed by the fact that all patches are fully embroidered, including the large back patch. The buttons on the jacket are nice, detailed buttons (this impresses me because this is so rare in my experience). The cape is one-size-fits-all and looks great. Unless youíre quite large or quite small, it should be fine. My one disclaimer about the jacket and cape is that these are iron-on patches. This is clearly mentioned on the site and so I wasnít surprised to see some a little loose (as seen in the bottom right pic). A few minutes on each with needle and thread fixes any issues.
Overall Iím very pleased with the jacket and the cape. Would recommend.
Straps: From RulerCosplay on Amazon. Pretty happy with these too. I know I donít have pics yet, but the materials are strong and look appropriate. Everything comes rather long, so cutting excess straps is necessary, but this means that itís likely to fit just about anyone. The only thing that didnít fit was the tiny waist belt that came with, which I simply replaced with a similar brown one I already owned.
Waist skirt thingy: Also from RedStar. This was the only thing Iím not happy with. The band is elastic (not bad in of itself) but itís suuuper wide and looks a bit strange on. Itís also not very fitted around my waist, so it really looks like a skirt. On top of that, itís a very shiny material that reflects photo flashes like a mirror. No thanks. Iíll end up making new ones with my group.
