Made for Anele over the past couple weeks. (I probably would have finished it a lot sooner, but I kept getting distracted by watching Monster. *cough*)
Front and back view of Irvine Kinneas' coat, from Final Fantasy VIII. The coat is unlined, and made of denim. Each of the two patch pockets are a bit bigger than my hand. The cuffs and collar are a nice faux fur, and the underside of the collar is lined with a light cotton twill.
I modeled it mostly after Irvine's battle sprite, though I had to get some of the details by looking at FMV screencaps or popping my brother's old save file in to painstakingly move the characters around as close to the camera as possible.
I made it using a store-bought pattern of a wannabe Matrix costume as a foundation, which I then significantly altered.
I really hope it fits right, because I made this for someone bigger than me. XD And after finishing this, I'm also extremely grateful for my power machine.
Though I think it looks crappy hanging from the hanger like that, it really was meant to be on a body. (I couldn't model it because I'm too short and bony; it kinda makes me look like a kid wearing his daddy's clothes. >.>) Ah well, I'll get pictures at AX!
