Kamiya Kaoru - Wedding Kimono (Back View) - Rurouni Kenshin - Manga - Kamiya Kaoru

A nice shot of the obi for my Kaoru wedding kimono from the Rurouni Kenshin manga. I did the entire costume by hand, no sewing machine. =_= I hate that I had to shorten the wig but it weighed too much in that high ponytail...

Mr. D, why do you think I got Best Tech with a kimono of all things?! XD Yes, it was all done by hand, from March to June it took me. Rydia, the green costume I'm making now, was also done entirely by hand...I do not have my machine with me and my grandmom put hers off-limits from me after I was done the plugsuit so I rely on my hand-sewing skills...thankfully, it's not too bad just time-consuming.

And I'm glad you posted up more pictures . Especially of that beautiful obi. You got such a nice material for it! And now that I think about it I think I do recognize where this picture is from . Very nice indeed.

Yes it is hard to get wigs to stay up on a high ponytail . But I'm sure most people would notice how incredibly Kaoru-like the front is before they would look at the back. The whole thing looks wondeful !
