This is a really beautiful peace of work. And the impresive part is that it was made all by hand. Congratiolation for your work and skeals. =)
Looks very lovely! And wonderful job handsewing, too. You've probably gotten very good at it by now!
I think you are a wonderful Kaoru, probably better than your Kenshin (which is also awesome, but when I see your Kaoru pics, I think, "It's really her!".
*sigh* This makes me want to make a kimono costume....
I love this Kimono. Soo pretty. Surpriesed your hands did not fall of. lol.
You and your crazy hand sewing ability. I never did get to see the full obi. It's so pretty.
Thanks for the comments! ^^ Glad you like my costume, Kaliko, you're my fave Kaoru!
Mr. D, why do you think I got Best Tech with a kimono of all things?! XD Yes, it was all done by hand, from March to June it took me. Rydia, the green costume I'm making now, was also done entirely by hand...I do not have my machine with me and my grandmom put hers off-limits from me after I was done the plugsuit so I rely on my hand-sewing skills...thankfully, it's not too bad just time-consuming.
That is IMHO amazing! I mean not even using a sewing machine!!!!
You are without a doubt one of DA BEST Cosplayers out there just on your dedication alone.
Props out to you two-fold!
You do know that with your skills you future children will adore you being able to make such fantastic clothes! you do know that right!
See you soon, Mr.D
Omgflippingosh, you hand-sewed the WHOLE THING?!! :O. I commend you Ms. Divine Kaoru, that's what I call dedication!!
And I'm glad you posted up more pictures . Especially of that beautiful obi. You got such a nice material for it! And now that I think about it I think I do recognize where this picture is from . Very nice indeed.
Yes it is hard to get wigs to stay up on a high ponytail . But I'm sure most people would notice how incredibly Kaoru-like the front is before they would look at the back. The whole thing looks wondeful !
