Without the haori on, so you can see the shoulder snake running into the original design on the back.
Several people have asked me why I bothered adding such a nice touch to the costume when it'll be completely concealed (except for the snake heads) 90% of the time by the haori. Well, I like adding extra, subtlely special details. Secondly, those snake heads had to blend into -something-, they couldn't just chop off and go nowhere. Thirdly, I tend to like to make costume pieces like real, individual garments when I can. And, the design gives people something nice to look at if I were to decide not to wear the haori for whatever reason.

I completely agree with adding that small detail. I myself am doing this version as well, and why would you just put random snake heads on the shoulders and nothing else underneath? That's just silly.
Good job on your costume. *thumbs up*

I agree with you, adding extra touches like this is wonderful! It adds depth to the character and feels more real. I love when people take extra care like this. Good job!
