Kurai Stain Glass Dragon Wings

Kurai Stain Glass Dragon Wings - -
It took me two failed attempts (with 2 different material) to make these wings before I was able to get the right weight for them. It showís you what you can do with perseverance. The third time was a charm! And they are super light. These guyís are done till May thatís when Iíll be adding the support structure. Diya owes me for the mental trauma.

Edit: I sold these to genkimami when she mentioned she was doing a Kurai cosplay for AN2011.

Clear acetate sheet with hand floated (aka used a rubber shaping brush to blend the glass paint) panels. The acetate sheet are sandwiched between to sheets of 3/8th inch foam board and glued with 5 minute epoxy.

Unfortunately I donít think these will ever be used, I made these and bought all the material for my friends Kurai costume but she has been out of the country for 3 years now.

Thank you guy's for your comments! This ones the better looking of the two T__T since I needed the glass paint to dry out flat I added water to thin down the 2 paints I used in the large bottom segments. Unfortunately the first one I painted the viscosity of the paints didnít match so the blue at the top pulled in on itself into a blob while the green was to thin and I had to paint a second coat. I looks good until you shine direct light through it >__<

I just bought some moving fairy wings and Iím planning to paint the box black and attaching the wings to structure.
