These are the pants I'll actually use for the costume. I took a new set of white Dockers relaxed fit, flat front chino's and dyed them with 8oz of Rit Tan and 4 Tbsp of Rit Dark Green dye in the washing machine set on hot and the water level set on the lowest setting for 30 min. I think the color came out pretty close. I added the stripes by masking the lines and painting them on with soft fabric paint. In my reference picture, the upper horizontal stripe is just a short line but after examining many, MANY screen shots, I came to the conclusion that they were actually intended to go all the way around.
