Fun day of bits of metal leaf and paint fumes, whoo. But at the end of the day I am happy with the outcome.

Low levels of artificial light in my room plus nighttime plus no flash gives a nifty dark, dirty look to the finish. In person, in normal lighting, the appearance is more like halfway between the two pictures I put up.

I realized after I took the pic and uploaded it all over that two of the barrel-shaped beads got switched when I was messing with different ways to link them together - compare to the lighter natural-light photo. I made them in pairs, and one just happened to come out slightly smaller, and I liked the look - but the smaller ones were supposed to be in the center together! I unhooked the mixed-up pair and flipped them around the right way already, but I'm too darn lazy to re-photograph, hah. With the perspective it looks rather like they're ALL the same size except that one dinky one, so I wanted to point it out first :P
