Done!

Done!
Holland
Well this is it! After about two months of off and on work, it's finally done.

I figure it's about 90% accurate (besides the fact that it doesn't fly :)) and I could do more to make it better but even I have to say "enough is enough" sometimes.

Some tech notes:

I think the shape and size are very close to the real deal. I also like how the colors and the finish came out.

The oak plywood was a nightmare to deal with the grain and the voids in the edges. I would choose some white pine instead.

The rounded triangular piece on the bottom is too big when I compare it to some of my reference pictures.

The grip tape is really hard to apply accurately. If you touch it to the board at all, it sticks tight and is impossible to re-position. If I make another board, I'll probably just spray paint it with wrinkle finish paint.

The wheel in the front is not quite the same as the one on the show. Most all of the boards have a wheel of one size or another. Holland's board just has a little ring but I felt like it needed a little more so I used a wooden toy wheel from a craft store.

Cost breakdown:

Wood for board - $15
Paint - $7
Scrap wood for parts - Free
Grip tape - $10
