It was great to work with a cosplayer with great attention to detail and workmanship in her costume, as well as her skills in martial arts and acting. Her facial expressions are intense!

Noctis rises above a abstract San Francisco skyline, radiating his symbol light. The city at night is a still photo using a slow shutter speed and a shakey camera. I like how the streaks of city lights look like a character in the Japanese alphabet. It also seems to look like a human figure in a similar pose as Noctis here. As I photographed this Noctis, cosplayer Joanne was standing on some stairs. I felt her stance and facial expression was very cool, but I decided to continue the futuristic metal motiff of the previous crouched pose. Photo manipulation makes for another win! Fanime 2010 San Jose California
Cosplayer Joanne strikes a low pose from nearly 50 feet away, creating a flatter perspective, as I cropped in with my long, zoom lens.
