Yeah, a few times I had to lean over towards their tables and tell them how to say it, because it was SO terribly pronounced. And frequently say what was in something if they were also puzzling over it. Luckily nobody ever found it rude. Most of the time I got an astonished "SERIOUSLY!? THAT'S how its said!? And THAT'S what's in it!?"
