How did you perform the switch? (I wasn't even aware you could switch the HDs... normally people use the transfer function as the new 360 also has an HD)
I lost my profile information from LIVE this weekend, it was on a USB stick since sometimes I bring it with me to other people's 360s with savedata. The USB stick died on me when I pulled it out and LIVE would just hang trying to redownload it.
Worked fine after an hour, but that was the last time I'd ever leave my LIVE profile on my USB stick out of laziness.
Or pull out the USB when the console is turned on.
