if you leave it loose (without the belt), it has a cape look which looks awesome in My opinion.

Have you tried puting on belt loops on the pants and on the coat to that the belts stays there but is not soo tight that it makes sounds when moving.

My other thought is dont put coat ends so tight and neat against the pants when putting the belt on.

The last idea is velcro patches but then you cant use the belt cause it'll just have the same problem
