Bit of a late reply, but anyways, I wouldn't even bother with Butterick "kimonos". They are SO DAMN INNACURATE. They have shoulder seams which real kimono don't have, no centre back seam which completely fucks up the fit of the kimono on your back, and kimono sleeves irl don't have a dropped shoulder like their pattern has. If you're trying for a legitimate kimono and not a cosplay that has a kimono-ish/robe design, you're better off with drafting it yourself (they're practically rectangles, so not hard to do) or Folkwear's kimono pattern.
